Board Of Trustees
The ASLA Board of Trustees governs the Society. The Trustee from each of the 48 Chapters is a member of the Board, as well as serving as a liaison between the Chapter and National Headquarters. The trustee occupies the most direct and important link between the membership and the national activities of the Society. Trustees responsibilities are twofold: (1) to express the perceptions and needs of the local membership as the official delegate of a chapter, and (2) to represent the profession at large in formulating the policy of the Society. A trustee must be capable of understanding and reflecting both spheres of interest. The Society’s bylaws set out the general duties of all officers and trustees.
Trustees for the Kentucky Chapter include:
David F. French (1982-1987)
D. Lyle Aten (1987-1988)
Horst Schach (1988-1990)
Patrick D. Hoagland (1991-1996)
Thomas J. Nieman (1996-2002)
